Note:  This toy drive was started (and made famous),  by Joey Childs when he was a high school freshman, he is now a freshman at Oklahoma University in Business!

Thanks to Joey and those of us that have donated toys, there will be many children enjoying a Merry Christmas.

Hospitality – Emilie Highley

  1. Thank you all that continue to visit June Iles – visits mean a lot and memories of the past mean so much to June!
  2. Angie Reed is doing well and has completely moved in with her daughter Laura – Angie appreciates all that remain in touch with her.
  3. For those of you that attended the Awards Banquet and spoke with Doris Britschgi, she is doing well since her thyroid surgery.    She did experience some damage in her vocal cord, but is hopeful that will help and she will be singing again soon!

Prieta Post Editor – Don Chaisson

The audience for the Nov/Dec 2024 issue has leveled off with no new audience.   The total audience that viewed the issue was just shy of 300 readers with 338 views (this counts the times I go back to the issue now and then).   I still consider this readership pretty good.

We have renewed our annual contract with the publishing software for 2025.

Work on the next issue, Jan/Feb 2025 continues again with the help of proofreader Doris Britschgi.   I’m now using technology to ease her burden by running text through AI (Antropic Claude) for spelling, grammar and syntax.  The AI program is the same that is used for technical articles with English Second Language authors — which Doris thinks I qualify for every time she sees my un-edited copy!   Doris claims this is helping… YEA.

I’m thinking of taking a class in Graphic Design at the local Adult Education.   Can’t hurt.

Things may get tight on schedule with the holidays.  Thanks for your patience.

Public Relations – Dana Drysdale

Have not seen the picture of John and Angie in the last Panorama issue.   May send in our Awards Banquet picture(s).

Safety – Open

Hugh submitted Safety Report Toys for Tots tour on December 1.

Discussion:   Kathy stated that Johnny will take on Safety Chair for 2025 as long as Ed Tefankjian will do all the Autocross safety reports.

Proposal:  Dana Drysdale proposes that approve Johnny Musser as Safety Chair.  Second: Kathy   Ayes:  7   Noes:  None   Motion passes

Tour – Hugh Calvin

BoD authorized Tour fee waivers for tours in 2024.

Toys for Tots Tour was held on 1-Dec

Hugh sent in Observer’s Report.

Toys for Tots Tour (1-Dec) was the last Tour of the year!
