Oh My!  Aside from the $10 entry fee, the projected cost of the 1st Parade was $25-$30. That was the total for everything including 3 days lodging, cocktails and supper, tech activities, rallys and a Victory/Awards dinner.  I flabbergasted at the high cost, ha.  And, what was the price of gas in the late 50s?  Oh yeah, it was fairly high, too, per this quote from Google:

“In the year 1956, the average retail price of gas in the U.S. was $0.30. This is equivalent to $2.81 in 2019 dollars.”

PCA has got a fascinating history.
