Peter Ridgway
President
Porsche Ownership History: My first was a 1990 Carrera Cabriolet. Had the motor rebuilt to add extra torque, put lightweight Fiske wheels on it for much improved handling and “drove it like I stole it”. A friend told me that was the only way to drive a Porsche. I still concur although I traded the Cab for a new Macan Turbo. Still drives the same way. Just more comfortably.
LPR PCA History: Joined PCA in 2009 after I retired. Became LPR Secretary in 2011 and held Concours and Tech chairs since then. I was elected LPR President in 2017 but continue to hold the tech chair because it’s fun for me to hang out with our advertisers.
Favorite Weekend Drive: Tied between hwy 160 from Antioch to Freeport and almost any other LPR tour.
Conversation Starter: Talk about travel. I’d like to say I’ve been everywhere but I haven’t. Still working on it however.

Porsche Ownership History: We bought our first Porsche, a 1967 912, from my boss at Apple. Not long after we purchased the car, Tony’s co-worker Steve Sherwood, got us to join LPR. That was in 1992 and we’ve been involved ever since. We own 3 Porsches at this time; a 1968 912 soft window Targa named Cracker, a 1974 lime green 911 Targa named Kermit, and a 2013 Cayenne named Pepper.
LPR PCA History: Tony and I joined LPR in 1992. I was Vice-President in 2006 and 2007, CO-VP in 2012 with Emilie Highley and CO-VP in 2019 with Lisa Radding. I am currently part of the Auto Cross team and the Charity Committee.

Porsche Ownership History: I was hooked when I saw my first 911 back in the early ‘70’s but never owned one until I bought my Midnight Blue ’95 Carrera C2 six years ago. Making up for lost time!
LPR PCA History: Joined PCA/LPR the week after I got my car. I’m an autocross regular and back for my second role on the Board as Membership chair.
Favorite Weekend Drive: Sunrise on Hwy 25 behind Pinnacles although Mines Rd from Livermore back over Mt. Tam is pretty good. Then there’s Pescadero up to Alices Resaurant and Skyline Blvd. Oh, and don’t forget…….
Conversation Starter: Ask me about the ’76 911S that got away.

Activities
Porsche Ownership History: I’ve wanted a 911 since 1970 when I saw my first one up close, but I really fell in love with Porsche when I saw Steve McQueen’s movie “Le Mans” in 1971. I finally bought a Silver 1979 911SC Targa in 1999, a Red Wine Metallic 1982 911SC Targa in 2004, and my current one is a Cobalt Blue Metallic 1999 911 Carrera Cabriolet. Her name is Sally.LPR PCA.
LPR PCA History: I joined the Porsche Club in 1999, with my wife, Karen as affiliate. We attended our first LPR event in September that year, and felt so welcome we had to come back. I’ve been on the Board of Directors, in various roles, from 2001 through 2009, and this year as the Activities director.
Favorite Weekend Drive: Laguna Seca! I remember watching Mark Donohue win a Can-Am race at Laguna Seca in the Sunoco 917. When I joined PCA, I was hoping to get to drive a parade lap just to see what the corkscrew was like. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven when I drove there in my first Driver’s Education event.
